FAQ

Does this list include every Duelist skill in PoE2 1.0?
No. It only includes skills explicitly named in the official deep dive stream. GGG said many combinations exist; other gems may appear at launch or in later posts.
What is Ready Stance—is it a skill?
Ready Stance is a combat state, not a separate gem in the narration. You enter it by holding after certain Duelist skills; Sand Scour is an attack that uses Ready Stance.
Which skills change between Sand and Blood Stance?
Rogers showed default attacks, Perforate, Cyclone, Blade Plunge, and World Cutter behaving differently in Sand or Blood Stance. See [Duelist stances guide](/guides/duelist-stances/) for the overview.
Is Infernal Step a base Duelist skill?
In the video, Mark Roberts said the unique sword Oro's Sacrifice grants Infernal Step. Treat it as a skill tied to that item in the showcase, not as a generic starter skill.
Did GGG list gem levels or costs?
No. This page intentionally omits numbers, levels, cooldowns, and mana costs because they were not stated in the transcript.
Where can I read the buried-blade combo loop?
Rogers demonstrated Earthrend, Charged Slash, and Blade Plunge together; the Bringer of Blades segment adds Rain of Steel and Blade Conduit. See [Earthrend and buried blades](/skills/earthrend-buried-blades/) and [Bringer of Blades build](/builds/bringer-of-blades/).

Which Duelist skills did Jonathan Rogers demonstrate?

Rogers’s arena tour names the core sword kit: stance enablers, stance-modified attacks, movement, warcries, bleed tools, Cyclone, buried-blade skills, Blade Conduit, and World Cutter. Descriptions below paraphrase what GGG said each skill does, without damage numbers.

Stance enablers and stance-modified attacks

Skill What GGG said it does
Sand Scour A Ready Stance attack; stunning enemies with it enters Sand Stance.
Bloodied Blade Used after parry to enter Blood Stance.
Default sword attack Normally a basic slash; in Ready Stance it becomes a deadly AoE slash. In Sand Stance it can send a sand disk; in Blood Stance it creates a blood wave that makes enemies bleed.
Perforate Triple stab; the third strike sends out drills that bleed enemies. From Ready Stance you skip to the drills. From Sand Stance it sends mini sand disks from every enemy hit; from Blood Stance, mini blood novas.

Movement and warcries (usable without breaking Ready Stance)

Skill What GGG said it does
Intimidate (Warcry) Delivers a cutting insult, intimidating foes so your next attack knocks them off balance.
Rending Dash Movement skill that slices through monsters while staying in Ready Stance for repositioning. After enemies build blood loss from bleed, Rending Dash can consume blood loss for a large bleed effect (shown after Hemorrhage).

Bleed-focused skill

Skill What GGG said it does
Hemorrhage Creates blood slashes that drastically speed up bleeding on enemies; pairs with the Rending Dash consume effect once blood loss builds. More detail: Bloodied Blade and Hemorrhage.

Cyclone and finishers

Skill What GGG said it does
Cyclone Fan-favourite spin attack; from Sand Stance it spews sand disks for AoE clear. Cyclone counts as a storm and can pick up elemental ground effects (blood pools, shocking ground, and others shown in combination).
World Cutter Charge up and unleash an ultimate slash; can be further enhanced with Blood Stance or Sand Stance.

Buried-blade skills

Skill What GGG said it does
Earthrend Creates blades that slice through the ground; buried blades have follow-up uses. Ready Stance with Earthrend creates a wall of blades instead of one.
Charged Slash Basic version is a lightning-infused cleave; from Ready Stance it becomes a spin that sends lightning projectiles. Hitting buried blades turns them into mini Tesla coils shocking nearby enemies.
Blade Plunge With a two-hander, plunge the blade to send three exploding blades; after Earthrend, more blades explode together. Can be held to charge explosions. Sand Stance adds continuous sandstorms around buried blades; Blood Stance adds blood pools that empower Cyclone.
Blade Conduit Summons lightning to your blade and creates shocking ground; cycloning through it adds lightning to Cyclone.
Rain of Steel (Shown in Bringer of Blades.) Calls down many swords to cover the battlefield in buried blades.

Parry (mechanic shown with skills)

Rogers treated parry as a dual-wield sword capability upgraded for reliability, plus shield bash from Ready Stance with a shield equipped. Roberts later used parry on a one-hand sword and targe weapon set (including a dashing parry). Mechanics: Duelist parry guide.

Which skills appear only in the endgame build segment?

Mark Roberts names additional skills and item-granted skills while showcasing Bringer of Blades and Scourge Walker:

Skill What GGG said it does
Infernal Step Granted by Oro’s Sacrifice in the demo; flicker-style movement that burns enemies on strike. Repeated use gains Sacrificial Flame stacks; using Infernal Step while stacked makes you take fire damage scaling with stacks. At maximum stacks the sword also grants frenzy charges, used to weave Bloodied Blade between Cyclone sessions.
Bloodied Blade Reused from the stance demo to enter Blood Stance in the Cyclone build rotation.
Cyclone Fire vortex in Scourge Walker; combined with bleed scaling from uniques Roberts named (not expanded here as skills).

Build write-ups: Bringer of Blades build, Scourge Walker build, item context Oro’s Sacrifice item page.

Which supports did GGG show on those builds?

These are support gems, not standalone attacks, but Roberts named them while explaining the builds:

Bringer of Blades: Kaom’s Madness (on Earthrend), Astral Projector (on Blade Conduit), Electrocute (second Earthrend setup), Combat Frenzy (frenzy charges for Sand Scour), Eroding Sands, Sandstorm, a support that makes buried blades emit miniature auras for damage, plus passive notables Roberts described (not listed as skills).

Scourge Walker: a support on Cyclone that makes bleeding enemies shed exploding flesh chunks, Fan the Flames, Echoing Strikes (consumes frenzy charges for extra Cyclones), Infernal Cry, a parry support applying Armour Break (with Molten One’s Gift anointment mentioned for fire interaction).

GGG did not explain every support’s full text in voiceover; treat tooltips in footage as illustrative.

What is not on this list?

Ascendancy skills, numeric values, and any gem not spoken by name in the stream are omitted. For class context and release timing, see Duelist class guide and Duelist release date.
